The first tutorial conducted in this module was zentangle animals. It's a practical exercise that helps the students understand and display the principles of design such as contrast, balance, repetition, and pattern. Zentangle exercise is also a wonderful tool for expanding our artistic skills and boosting concentration.

Tutorial 2 - Tonal Values and Rendering

Our second tutorial task was Hatching and Rendering. It is an essential skill for every student as it often be used in underscoring gradual tonal shifts, motion, and texture in architectural drawings. I chose an apple as the hatched object because it looks realistic and aesthetic.

Tutorial 3 - Architectural Lettering

Architectural lettering was our module's third tutorial task. It is an essential skill for architects to communicate effectively on drawings. The clarity and legibility of lettering contribute to the overall professionalism and understanding of the information presented. And the selected piece is 'Negaraku', Malaysia's supreme national anthem.

Tutorial 4 - Scale and Coloring Media

The last tutorial given in this module was Scale and Coloring Media. We have been given a plan view of an L-shaped building and we are required to redraw it on a scale of 1:40. I remained most of the furniture and added a piano for interior details. After finishing this tutorial work my rendering skill using color pencils has an obvious improvement.

Reflection

With these assessments, I found that I had made significant progress in rendering and coloring my drawings. After having a tutorial class by Ms. Lok Mei and completing tutorial 3 - Architectural Lettering, now I'm able to write qualified architectural lettering competently.
