P2A-ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS
Project 2 - Farnsworth House Drawing
PLAN

Project 2 is an individual project that requires students to compose orthographic drawings, axonometric drawing, and perspective drawings. For orthographic drawings, we are required to complete the plan view, one section, and two elevations from any bearing. We are required not just to produce the orthographic drawing but do some research on Farnsworth House as it allows us to understand the architecture thoroughly. For P2B, students have to go through a lecture on how to draw the axonometry using different angles. Lastly, students must produce two perspective drawings which are one-point perspective and two-point perspective.

Reflection
Through Project 2, I have improved my sketching skills and always paid attention to the line weight when working on the project. I added some plants and a human figure into my two-point perspective drawing, giving a better sense of the scale and atmosphere of Farnsworth House. After researching this selected architecture, I have learned about its history and architectural details. At the same time, I was amazed by the usage of glasses in this architecture which allows the users to be close to nature.
